On July 21, 2021, ASEAN-China Dialogue on Climate Investment and Finance: The Path for Green and Low-Carbon Development, was held both online and offline in Beijing as one of the series activities of the ASEAN-China Environmental Cooperation Week 2021.

The event was sponsored by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China and Mission of the People’s Republic of China to ASEAN; supported by ASEAN Secretariat; and organized by Foreign Environmental Cooperation Center, MEE/China-ASEAN Environmental Cooperation Center. The event is composed of two sessions: “ASEAN-China Cooperation in Jointly Tackling Climate Change”, and “ASEAN-China Dialogue on Climate Investment and Finance: The Path for Green and Low-Carbon Development”.

During the meeting, guests shared ideas on a range of topics, including global climate governance, carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, and clean energy investment. Representatives from China and ASEAN Member States also shared experience in climate investment and financing in their own countries and future work plans.
